CRAFT Now Pavilion is curated by Susanna Pang of the Contemporary Crafts Centre, with further depth provided by veteran curator Ying Jian and the accomplished consultant in the fields of craft and design Eva Qian Li. Centred on playful design and high artistic calibre, the pavilion seeks to engage a new generation of collectors and to broaden appreciation for contemporary craft across the art world. Featured artists include international award recipients and creators whose works are in the permanent collections of major museums; several are recognised as bearers of national intangible cultural heritage, with talents from Hong Kong and other regions in Asia among them. Spanning contemporary lacquer, ceramics, bamboo weaving, woodwork, metalwork, paper, and textiles, the pavilion showcases a seamless blend of Eastern aesthetics and modern innovation—inviting emerging collectors to explore, understand, and value contemporary Asian crafts more deeply.
