Expanding Horizons with a New Chapter
Fine Art Asia Announces Inaugural Shenzhen Edition

Founded in Hong Kong two decades ago, Fine Art Asia, Asia’s leading international fine art fair, is proud to open a new chapter with the inauguration of Fine Art Asia Shenzhen 2026. The fair will take place from 26 to 29 November 2026 in Shenzhen. In response to the burgeoning art and cultural landscape of Mainland China, and with the long-standing support of collectors and art enthusiasts, the fair is set to reach a new pinnacle in the Asian art market.

    Strategic Calendar Realignment
To ensure the highest quality experience for exhibitors and collectors alike, Fine Art Asia has made the strategic decision to postpone its traditional autumn Hong Kong edition. Fine Art Asia Hong Kong will now take place in Spring 2027. This postponement is not a cancellation, but a proactive realignment to fit the constantly changing art market trends. By debuting in Shenzhen first, the fair aims to create a meaningful synergy between the two cities, energising the regional market before returning to its established home in Hong Kong. Specific dates and venue information for the Hong Kong 2027 edition will be announced in due course.

The Vision and Background of Fine Art Asia Shenzhen 2026
Over the past two decades, Shenzhen has evolved into a premier cultural centre with a robust infrastructure and significant collecting capacity. The city’s rich art and cultural ambience is further enhanced by an array of world-class institutions, including the Shenzhen Qianhai Museum, Shenzhen Bay Culture Square, JD Museum, and Róng Museum of Art. Leveraging strong investment and proximity to Hong Kong, it is uniquely positioned to foster a connected regional market as an iconic city of culture.

Shenzhen and Hong Kong Join Forces to Elevate Regional Art and Culture

Coinciding with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) China Summit this year, Fine Art Asia is privileged to receive the full support of the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports. On 23 May 2026, Fine Art Asia Shenzhen and its partner, Zhao Yue Ming Cultural Investment Consulting Company Ltd., officially signed a project cooperation agreement at the 22nd China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF) Cultural Industry Investment Promotion Conference.

As the host city for the 2026 APEC China Summit, Shenzhen will welcome political and economic leaders from member economies to Shenzhen for a series of summits and conferences aimed at strengthening regional cooperation across the Asia-Pacific. With the art and cultural sector representing a meaningful share of cross-border exchange, this convergence of high-profile events in late November will provide a powerful backdrop for the fair.

Against this landscape, 2026 presents an ideal opportunity for art and cultural practitioners from APEC member economies to gather, connect, and explore new markets — ranging from established ones such as North America, Japan and South Korea, to the fast-growing ASEAN region. At the same time, Shenzhen can leverage this moment to showcase further and strengthen its local art and cultural brand. Fine Art Asia Shenzhen 2026 is poised to capitalise on the internationalisation and momentum generated by the summit.

A Gateway to New Potential: From the City of Innovation to the City of Art and Culture
Shenzhen is undergoing a comprehensive, rapid transformation, evolving from a city rooted in traditional industries to a dynamic hub driven by new-quality productive forces, innovation, and art and culture. Accelerating advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), new energy, and pioneering technological research have energised the art and cultural sectors, introducing unprecedented vision and cross-sector potential to the market. Through this powerful synergy of technology and art, Shenzhen has revitalised its cultural scene with a modern perspective, while showcasing the region’s extraordinary industrial advantages and art-collecting potential.

Arising Group of Young & Potential Clients: Shenzhen boasts a growing base of potential clients and emerging collectors, supported by an innovation-driven economy and a high concentration of leaders in technology and finance, such as ByteDance and HUAWEI.

World-Class Infrastructure: The city’s cultural infrastructure is expanding at an unprecedented rate, including the recent opening of the Shenzhen Bay Culture Square and the upcoming Qianhai Museum, which will focus on Chinese cultural relics and artworks.

Technological & Commercial Momentum: The inflow of technological capital from giants like Tencent and JD.com is set to accelerate the city’s art scene, bringing an infusion of digital technology and new talent to the market.

Enhanced Logistics: Improved infrastructure, including the introduction of bonded warehouses and regulatory updates, has matured the support network for Shenzhen’s art and cultural scenes. This not only enhances the efficiency of cross-border art logistics, creating a more integrated regional market linking Hong Kong and Shenzhen, but also offers a streamlined ‘fast track’ that brings unprecedented efficacy and convenience to the industry.
